Andrea Idini, PhD in Nuclear Physics
Andrea Idini's Bio:
Andrea Idini is the recipient of the 101000£ Newton Fellowship of the Royal society for "world’s most promising early career academics". Dr. Idini is member of editorial board of Proceedings of the Royal Society A for physical and mathematical sciences.
He will spend the grant in University of Surrey, Guildford, UK, after postdoc assignments in University of Jyväskylä, Finland, and University of Darmstadt in Germany.
Andrea studied Physics at University of Milan, specializing in Nuclear Physics with Prof. Broglia. He has ammassed a robust publication record, focusing on the many-body aspects of low-energy nuclear structure, such as phonon-induced renormalization effects, nuclear pairing vibrations and rotations, and particle transfer reactions.
Dr. Idini is the only nuclear theory specialist as Research Fellow of the Royal Society, focusing on the study of atomic nuclei as a manybody system.
